Sudipta Mukherjee

Sudipta Mukherjee is the Managing Director of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited and brings over 28 years of experience across rail mobility, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and industrial operations. His career spans railway rolling stock, railway components, foundry and casting operations, bridges and structures, and defence manufacturing, providing him with a deep understanding of large-scale industrial businesses.

Over the years, he has held leadership positions across India's rail and manufacturing sectors and has actively contributed to industry development through various professional and institutional bodies. His involvement with railway-focused initiatives and industry associations reflects a long-standing commitment to advancing engineering excellence and strengthening India's manufacturing capabilities.

At Texmaco Rail & Engineering, he leads the company's growth and transformation agenda across rolling stock, rail infrastructure, foundry operations, and emerging mobility solutions. Under his leadership, the company has strengthened its capabilities through operational improvements, strategic partnerships, and global collaborations. His focus remains on innovation, execution, and building globally competitive manufacturing capabilities that support the future of rail transportation.

A Post graduate from IISWBM and has certification on Production Management from AOTS Japan, Executive Management Certification from Tepper School of Business, USA & Fulbright Fellowship in Leadership & Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. He has actively participated in Industry through various professional association as Chairman of ITI Barrackpore, CII member for Advisory to Railway on Design, HR&IR Sub Committee member of CII, Chairman Railway Task Force- CII and many more. Earlier he was associated with Titagarh Wagons Ltd. as Whole Time Director.
